The actors of the Pedagogical IRAP met from April 6 to 7, 2023, in Bangui, Central African Republic, for a workshop on strengthening the resilience of inclusive governance by mobilizing training engineering skills in a digital environment, with a view to improving the quality of teaching and learning through the training of so-called “community teachers”.
The workshop took place under the high patronage of the Minister of National Education, Dr. Aboubacar Noure MOUKADAS, and in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation, Pr Jean-Laurent SYSSA-MAGALE.
The participants came from the education sector, notably Pr Gerard GRESENGUET, Rector of the University of Bangui, Dr Romain SOPIO, Chargé de Mission at the Ministry of National Education, Pr Jean KOKIDE, Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Bertrand KENGUETONA, Secretary General of the University of Bangui, Mr. Casimir Emile YAMOKODE, Inspector General of National Education, Dr David VONTO, KIX Focal Point for the CAR, 10 Inspectors of the Academy, 10 Directors of Centers of Excellence, 10 Directors of the University of Bangui, and the Director of the Ministry of Education. Casimir Emile YAMOKODE, Inspector General of National Education, Dr. David VONTO, KIX Focal Point for CAR, 10 Inspectors of Academy, 10 Directors of Regional Pedagogical Centers (CPR), Directors of Teacher Training Colleges (ENI), Heads of school districts, Heads of school sectors, Directors of PARI pilot schools as well as their teacher representatives.
This workshop resulted in the proposal of a reference framework on the quality of in-service training in ENA, as well as the development of a logical framework for the deployment of advocacy for the scaling up of ENA. These results will frame the activities of the PARI project in the field in the coming weeks, for the improvement of the professional development of so-called “community” teachers.
